Grossarl: Loosbühel (1,984 m)
First you go from the Klausbauer or from the parking space on the hiking trail through the forest up to the Loosbühelalm (open in winter, but consider the opening times). Before you get to the hut, however, you have to turn right (=upwards). There is a pleasant walk through alpine meadows. Where you come to some trees, you go upwards to Loosbühel. From here you have a wonderful view to the Hohe Tauern, the Hochkönig, the Tennengebirge and the Hagengebirge as well as the Dachstein.
Directly at the top, it is often quite windy, so it can be very cold there, although it is still relatively warm up to about 100 m below the summit.
Along the ascent route, you will find beautiful descent possibilities and maybe you get fresh powder.
The tour to the Loosbühel is a scenic, easy tour. This tour is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced skiers. With sufficient snow this tour can be done from November to April. Even in case that the weather is not that good, this ski tour is easily feasible.I
f you combine this tour with the Filzmooshörndl, you have a nice day trip.
