Grossarl: Gründegg (2,168 m)
From the parking space Grund in Ellmautal, you go along the hiking trail through the forest, passing the Ellmau-Heimalm and further to the Ellmaualm, which is not managed in winter. From there, you will ascend via gentle alpine meadows towards Tröge. Along the ridge you will finally reach the Gründegg. From here you have a wonderful view to the surrounding mountains - you see the Grossglockner, Sonnblick, Schareck, the Ankogel group, Dachstein, Bischofsmütze, Tennengebirge, Hagengebirge and the Hochkönig.
You ski down along alpine meadows along the ascent route. If there is sufficient snow, you can ski directly to the Ellmaualm.
