Grossarl: Village hike

The starting point is the hiking starting point in front of the municipal office in Grossarl. You walk to the market square of Grossarl. Here, most of the houses are classified as historical monuments. There is also a well-designed fountain on the market square. You go upwards along the Kirchgasse to the church of Grossarl. From here you have a wonderful view of the village of Grossarl. The baroque church of Grossarl is dedicated to St. Ulrich and St. Martin. A visit to the church is definitely recommendable. The walk through the cemetery takes you past the church on a narrow path to the Ellmaustraße. From here you walk to the municipal office again.

At the intersection, you turn right and walk along the sidewalk to Hotel Waldhof. Cross the street and follow the road between the Unterkofler bakery and Rucki Zucki's Gaudi-Alm.

The trail continues past a pond, the beach volleyball court and the tennis courts. Turn right after the tennis courts and cross the street. You reach the mountain railway car park. Go to Hotel Edelweiss and then turn left. Along the sidewalk you pass some hotels, restaurants and the Grossarl mountain railways. You go to the roundabout, then again in the direction to the village center. You will pass the tourist office. After a few meters you reach the municipal office, the starting point of the tour.
