This hiking tour starts at the Hallmoosalm in Hüttschlag. First, you walk a little downhill until you have crossed the gravel road. From there it goes uphill to the Schleglalm (closed).

You continue upwards to the Hundegg. From here you have a beautiful view to Hüttschlag.

You hike to the Spielkogel and further to the Stangersattel. Here you reach the Ellmautal-Höhenweg. You continue to the Filzmooshöhe. There is a different, but beautiful summit cross. In front of is the Draugstein, which is towering over the Ellmautal. This is one of three limestone mountains in Grossarltal.

Finally you reach the Filzmoossattel. Directly at the Filzmoossattel, there is a particularly beautifully designed gentian, the symbol of the Salzburg Almenweg. The path from the Filzmoossattel to the Draugsteinalmen is also part of this long-distance hiking tour.

In this area, the flora and fauna is particularly beautiful. In this area there are due to the limestone mountain different flowers than in other areas within the Grossarltal.

Two mountain huts await you on the Draugsteinalm, the left one is the Schrambachhütte, the right one is the Steinmannhütte. On both, you are pampered with self-made delicacies (cheese, butter, bread, bacon, sausages, liquor). After your break, you hike down to the Hallmoosalm, the starting point of the tour.
