At the Sendeanlage Holzlehen is the "Himmelsknoten". This is a monument of the Guilde Scouts who have kept their forum for over 40 years in Grossarl. A forestry road leads to the Mooslehenalm.
You hike to the Schied-Hochalm (closed). Further you hike below the Schiedreitspitz, where there is a summit cross. You continue to the Höllwand. The Höllwand is one of those mountains which characterize the landscape of Grossarl. It is there like a castle.
In addition to the Schuhflicker and the Draugstein, the Höllwand is one of three limestone mountains in Grossarltal. Up here you have a beautiful view to Grossarltal and the Salzach Valley. If the weather is very clear, you can even see the city of Salzburg.
You continue along the "old" Jägersteig, which was rebuilt in 2016 to the Heukareck. Be aware: If it is wet, it can be very slippery in this area.
The view from the Heukareck is breathtaking. The descent is through wide meadows to the Niggeltalalm.
On the Niggeltalalm, you get spoiled with self-made delicacies. This mountain hut is a paradies for children.
Finally, you return along the forestry road to the starting point of the tour.
A small dertour to the Tennköpfl is recommended.
