You go up by cable cars to the Panoramaplateau. Here can have a rest at the Laireiateralm. You continue along the road to the Kreuzkogel. In this area, there is the ski area in winter.
From the Kreuzkogel you have a wonderful view to the surrounding mountains .
First, you hike downwards, then upwards to the Fulseck. This is the mountain station of the cable cars of Dorfgastein. There, is the Gipflstadl, where you are spoiled with delicacies.
After a short rest, you hike downwards to the Arltörl. Directly at the Arltörl there is a small chapel.
The path leads to the Schuhflicker, which is one of three limestone mountains in Grossarltal. There are numerous climbing routes to the Arlspitze, which is the first summit.
From the Schuhflicker, you have a very nice view to the Schuhflickersee (mountain lake). Afterwards, the hike leads to the Aualm, where you can taste self-made delicacies. The cottage has been newly built in recent years, but it has remained a real mountain hut.
You can go downwards by hiking taxi or you walk down into the valley.
You go up by cable cars, there you should have no fear of heights.
The last 50 m to the Schuhflicker, you have to be free of dizziness.
