The "Himmelsknoten" is located at the transmitter at the Holzlehen farm. This is a monument of the Scouts. From here, a forestry road leads to the Mooslehenalm.

A nice hike leads to the Schied-Hochalm (closed). You hike below the Schiedreitspitze to the Höllwand.

The Höllwand is one of those mountains which characterize the landscape of Grossarl in the north. It's there like a castle. Besides the Schuhflicker and the Draugstein, the Höllwand is one of the three limestone mountains in Grossarltal.

From the mountain you have a beautiful view to Grossarltal and to the Salzach Valley. If the weather is very clear, you can even see the city of Salzburg.

You hike back on the same path. On the Mooslehenalm you get local delicacies.

Author’s recommendation

You can combine the tour with the Heukareck, then it is a great round trip.
