This hiking tour starts in Ellmautal. On an alpine path you hike first through the forest, then alonge alpine meadows to the Ellmaualm. You pass the Grossellmau-Heimalm, which is closed.
Up on the Ellmaualm, there is a magnificent panorama and you can taste self-made delicacies such as bread, butter, cheese, sausages or bacon. For the children there is a small playground.
You ascend throug alpine meadows to the ridge. Then you hike along the ridge to the Gründegg. From here, you have a beautiful view to the surrounding mountains.
You hike along the mountain ridge to the Filzmoossattel. Directly at the Filzmoossattel, there is a particularly beautifully designed gentian, which accompanies the hikers over the whole Salzburg Almenweg.
Approximately 50 m above the Filzmoossattel, there is the Filzmooshöhe. There is a different but beautiful summit cross..
When you turn around, you will see the Draugstein, which is majestically towering over the Ellmautal. This mountain is one of three limestone mountains within Grossarltal.
The Salzburger Almenweg leads past info the valley to the Filzmoosalm. This mountain hut is located in an untouched natural landscape. Here you are spoiled with delicacies from their own production such as bread, butter, cheese, bacon or sausages.
