Grossarl: Karseggalm
After the Grossarler Genuss, you cycle upwards. Through meadows and the forest you will finally reach the Karseggalm. The Karseggalm is probably one of the most rustic huts in the whole Alpine area and with its 400 years it is one of the oldest.
If you enter the hut, you are immediately surprised. The floor inside the cottage is designed with loam and bark. It can be that the "Wehstatt", so the "kitchen" in an old hut is called, is full of smoke. Here, as most people cannot imagine, there is an open fire place.
Once a week, you can watch the people from the Karseggalm, how they make their Sauerkäse.
There are lots of self-made delicacies on the Karseggalm.
After your break, you cycle back on the same route.
