Hüttschlag: Family Trekking Hohe Tauern mini
You continue to the Aschlreitalm. You hike up through alpine pastures to the ridge. From here you have a magnificent view to the glacier of the Keeskogel, 2,884 m, the highest mountain and the only glacier in the whole Grossarltal. You enter the area of the Modereggalm. When you descend, you pass the old hut of this mountain hut, but only a few stone walls remind you of past buildings. On the Modereggalm there is a delicious snack with self-made specialties such as bread, butter, cheese, bacon or sausage. Here you stay overnight.
In the "Modereggalm" area, there are cows and many sheep who spend their summer holidays in the "Gstöß" below the Keeskogel. The next day, the descent then takes place on a relatively steep path. In the valley, you pass the Pertillbauer and the Pertill Chapel. You arrive at the inn Talwirt and the Hüttschlager Bauernladenstüberl. You can also visit the valley museum of Grossarltal. Go back by bus or hiking taxi.
