From the Sonneggbrücke you have the choice if you hike up the way or you take the short-cuts through the forsest to the Unterwandalm. Sometimes on this hut the "Hirter" (this is the man, who is responsible for the mountain hut) plays his harmonica. In the meantime you can enjoy your snack with self-made delicacies and the children can play on the playground or they enjoy the chilren's zoo.
From the Unterwandalm you have a great view to the surrounding mountains. You can also stay overnight on the Unterwandalm.

You go by car or hiking taxi on Sonneggweg in the district of Au to the Sonneggbrücke, there is a parking possibility. You hike up the way no. 70 (sometimes there are short-cuts through the forest). On the crossroad "Maurachalm-Unterwandalm" you hike further right on the way no. 70 to the Unterwandalm, 1,600 m (approx. 1 3/4 to 2 h).
You hike back on the path no. 70C to the Unterwand farm and along the forestry road to the Sonneggbrücke (approx. 1 1/4 h).
