Grossarl: Unterwandalm - Karseggalm - Breitenebenalm
From the Sonneggbrücke you have the choice if you hike up the way or you take the short-cuts through the forsest to the Unterwandalm. Sometimes on this hut the "Hirter" (this is the man, who is responsible for the mountain hut) plays his harmonica. In the meantime you can enjoy your snack with self-made delicacies and the children can play on the playground or they enjoy the chilren's zoo.
From the Unterwandalm you hike nearly on the same altitude to the Karseggalm. This mountain hut is the oldest hut in Grossarltal. It is around 400 years old. There is no electricity in the hut and the floor is out of loam and tree bark. Of course you can taste the self-made products like bread, butter, cheese or a schnaps.
After a break you hike down on the hiking path to the Breitenebenalm. Here you get a wide range of self-made cakes or even an apple strudel.
You can decide if you want to hike down the short-cuts through the forest or you take the way back to the Sonneggbrücke, which is the start point of the tour.
