Grossarl: Trögseen
This mountain tour starts in Ellmautal at the parking space Grund. You hike up on an path first through the forest then through meadows to the Ellmaualm. You pass the Grossellmau-Heimalm, which is closed.
At the Ellmaualm, you can taste self-made delicacies such as bread, butter, cheese, sausages or bacon. There is a playground for the children.
You continue along the Salzburger Almenweg to the Henerbichlalm (closed). Further, you hike up to the Trögseen. These are small but particularly beautiful mountain lakes, where you cool down yourself a bit.
You hike back on the same route to the Ellmaualm.

Turn-by-turn directions
You go by car or hiking taxi to the Ellmautal to Grund - parking. You hike up on the path no. 62 to the Grossellmau-Heimalm (closed) and on the same path to the Ellmaualm, 1,794 m (approx. 1 1/2 h). You hike along the "Ellmautal-Almsteig" (no. 63) to the Henerbichlalm, 1,826 m (closed) and further to the ridge. You take the path no. 64 to the Trögseen (approx. 1/2 h).
You hike back on the path no. 64, then 62 to the Ellmaualm (approx. 1/2 h) and then back to Grund (approx. 1 1/2 h).
By road
You go by car or public bus (no. 540) to Grossarl. Then you go to Ellmautal between the Spar-market and the Hotel Alte Post. After approx. 6 km you reach the parking space Grund.Parking
