At the Sendeanlage Holzlehen is the "Himmelsknoten". This is a monument of the Guilde Scouts who have kept their forum for over 40 years in Grossarl. A forest trail leads to the Mooslehenalm. Continue to the Igltalalm (Niggeltalalm). A beautiful waterwheel, which was formerly used for butter stirring, is at the little brook in front of the hut. This mountain hut is a children's paradise - a stream and a small pond, a large playground, cats, dogs, ducks... After a delicious snack with self-made products the trail continues to the Viehhausalm. From here you have a wonderful view into the Grossarl Valley. The people up here spoil all hungry hikers with self-made delicacies. Again, the children will have fun again. In particular, the "Gamsbock swing" and the climbing tree are very popular with children. The descent takes place either on the trail or on the forest path to the Mooslehenalm . Here you can also taste some delicacies. Then you hike down to the Sendeanlage Holzlehen (Himmelsknoten), which was also the start point of the tour. This walk can be only on forest roads, so it is suitable for pushchairs (only if there are some strong pushchair drivers)

Author’s recommendation

You can hike up from the Viehhausalm on the path nr. 32 to the Wetterkreuzsattel, 1.840 m (about 3/4 in 1 direction). From here you have a unique view into the Grossarl Valley.
