You hike up from the Sonneggbrücke along the forestry road or along the short-cuts through the forest to the Breitenebenalm. Here you get a wide range of self-made cakes or even an apple strudel. The children prefer the large play ground.Then you hike up through the forest to the Karseggalm. This mountain hut is the oldest hut in Grossarltal. It is around 400 years old. There is no electricity in the hut and the floor is out of loam and tree bark. Of course you can taste the self-made products like bread, butter, cheese or a schnaps.
You hike up to the ridge and descend to the Kleinarler Hütte. Here you get spoiled with local delicacies. This mountain hut has 60 beds. Then you hike to Kleinarl and go back by public transport to Grossarltal.
